Welcome to the BAMIT STEM K12 Site! Who We Are Black Alumni at MIT (BAMIT) is dedicated to promoting STEM education in urban schools and for students of color worldwide. Our K-12 STEM Committee is focused on expanding access to high-quality STEM learning opportunities for underrepresented students across the U.S. and beyond. As part of this effort, our flagship school partnership program, InsPIred, is a Pi Day initiative designed to help schools celebrate the boundless excitement of Pi and STEM. Through BAMIT’s collaboration with schools, we offer a structured framework for Pi Day activities and provide resources to support participation. Schools that join will have the opportunity to host engaging competitions, award prizes to winners, and connect with a global network of participants. Building on a successful initiative in several Boston Public Schools, we are now opening this program to any school with a substantial percentage of African American students—while welcoming all students to take part. Join us in inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders! What We Offer To You! Low or No-Cost Curriculum & Activities: Access Pi Day activities and curriculum at little to no cost.
